‘Arrested Development’ gets the ax

Arrested Development

CNN.com - ‘Arrested Development’ gets the ax - Nov 11, 2005

The Bluth clan of Fox’s ratings-challenged “Arrested Development” is also headed for the exit after Fox cut the third-season order on the Emmy-winning comedy to 13 episodes.

I can’t believe the best show on tv is getting cut. I still don’t know why people don’t tune into this show. It’s hilarious. Smarter & funnier than 90% of the shows out there, it’s on Seinfeld’s level. How is it that the stupidest shows like According to Jim and Yes Dear are still on, while brilliant shows like AD get cut?

Shouldn’t it mean something that celebs are dying to get cameos on the show because they know it’s so funny? Everyone wants a piece of this show, yet the ratings don’t reflect it.

I’m hoping Fox soon reconsiders like they did with Family Guy. Family Guy was cut completely off the air, fans bought a ton of DVD seasons and it made Fox realize there’s still a huge audience for that show. I urge all AD fans to buy the tv seasons on DVD to show your support for the show. I’ve got Season2 so far (thanks sis), I’ll be asking for Season1 for Xmas and I’ll pick up Season 3 when it’s released. Even watching this show repeatedly still makes me laugh. The jokes are so subtle. Maybe that’s why people don’t like the show - you have to pay attention and listen for the jokes, instead of hearing the lame laughtrack and laughing along with it like typical comedies.

AAaagh. So frustrating.
